
Candice Holdsworth has claimed that £50 million for “women’s health research could not be enough.”
This comes after UK Health Secretary Victoria Atkins has announced a bold initiative to address the gender gap in healthcare, with a specific focus on women’s health issues that have been ‘historically overlooked.’
The government will filter an additional £50 million into research aimed at enhancing maternity outcomes and evaluating the impact of menstrual problems and endometriosis on women’s work participation and progression.
