Wilko’s owner CDS Superstores is set to open two The Range stores in former Wilko stores, according to reports.
The sites, which closed their doors last autumn after administrators were unable to reach a rescue deal for the whole of the Wilko business, are set to open under the new ownership in March.
The former Wilko site on Hucknall, Nottinghamshire will reportedly open under The Range brand on March 15, 2024.
The move is said to create up to 90 jobs.

Last week, it was announced two more Wilko stores would open, in Rotherham and St Albans, ahead of a wider roll-out.
Launch dates for the sites – in The Maltings, St Albans and Parkgate Shopping Part, Rotherham – will be announced in spring 2024.
The company said it is operating a national roll-out of new Wilko stores across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
CEO of CDS Superstores, trading as The Range and Wilko, Alex Simpkin said: “The initial reaction to the new concept stores has been even better than we’d hoped, we’ve seen queues of both returning and new customers at the store launches and the feedback is giving us the confidence we need to continue with our store opening plans.

“We’re in advanced negotiations with a number of landlords and are continuing to review all options as a part of our roll-out plan.
“Any interested agents or landlords should get in touch.
“We’ll continue to endeavour to give ex-wilko employees priority as a part of the recruitment process for the new stores.”
