Several fans of ITV’s The Masked Singer are convinced they’ve worked out the celebrity hidden under Air Fryer’s costume – and it isn’t the person bookies are backing.
Ever since Air Fryer first took to the stage in the second week of the competition to perform Ava Max’s Kings & Queens, a number of eagle-eyed sleuths have backed the performer to be The Greatest Showman star, Keala Settle.
The 48-year-old does have a reputation for having show-stopping vocal talents and many feel she fit the bill perfectly for Air Fryer.
However, much like the judges in Week Four, several fans have their attention piqued by a clue hinting towards an Australian performer.
Both Minogue sisters, Kylie and Dannii, along with Rebel Wilson and – albeit tongue in cheek – Russell Crowe are the four the judges think could be behind the mask.
And after some digging of their own, a number of ITV viewers think one of the guesses is correct – despite Settle still being odds-on with bookies to be the mysterious performer.

Much like fans who were convinced they’d rumbled Eiffel Tower’s identity and those who insisted they knew who Dippy Egg was, many of the guesses were shared on social media.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one fan said of Air Fryer’s identity: “This is Rebel Wilson without a doubt #maskedsingeruk.”
“Air fryer is Deffo Rebel Wilson, 100%%% #MaskedSingerUK,” a second defiantly said while a third echoed: “Air Fryer had AUD on them…they were pitching…could it be Rebel Wilson? She did Pitch Perfect. #maskedsingeruk.”
Another mulled over the clues: “If Airfryer is Rebel Wilson the bumblebee clue could reference her being in Pitch Perfect with Hailee Steinfeld as she was the lead in Bumblebee #MaskedSingerUK.”

“Air Fryer is Rebel Wilson I’m calling it now #maskedsingeruk,” a fifth claimed while a sixth mused: “Have to say Rebel Wilson makes a lot of sense #maskedsingeruk.”
And a seventh concurred: “Pitch perfect. Australian dollars. Air fryer is Rebel Wilson? #MaskedSingerUK.” (sic)
Despite Wilson being tipped by guest judge Jennifer Saunders and a vast proportion of The Masked Singer fanbase, bookmakers remain unconvinced.

Speaking to GB News, Gambling.com betting expert James Leyfield explained: “Air Fryer is one of the biggest market movers of the week after she halved in price on specials betting sites to win this year’s Masked Singer.
“The character is into 4/1 for victory, from 8/1 last week, and The Greatest Showman actress Keala Settle is the new 1/2 favourite to be Air Fryer.
“In the character’s clue package, there were some cooking nods, and Keala has starred in the Broadway production Waitress.”

Delving into the clues, Leyfield added: “What’s more, Chigwell, which is in Essex, was another clue.
“While this didn’t appear to link to American actress and singer Keala at first, she did appear in Sister Act: The Musical in 2022 alongside Lesley Joseph, who is best known for being part of Chigwell-set TV sitcom Birds of a Feather.
“Cricket (3/1) is still ahead of Air Fryer in The Masked Singer market, but Eiffel Tower is just below at 5/1.”
