Nicola McLean has admitted to throwing her children’s bikes away out of fear of what can happen on the roads.
The former Page Three model spoke to Eamonn Holmes, Isabel Webster and Dawn Neesom about how she taught her children how to ride bikes, only to ban them from using them.
“I risk assess. My children have never had bikes”, she said.
“I taught them how to ride bikes, so I’d buy them bikes, they know how to ride them, then I would tell them that their bikes were stolen and give them away to other people.”
Neesom was left stunned by the admission, asking whether her children knew what she was up to.
“They know now, now they’re older”, she said.
“They did look at me as if I was absolutely mad. They genuinely believed all these bikes were being stolen.
“I have probably bought them three bikes each.”
