May leaves fans gobsmacked with shirtless workout update after sharing health doubts ahead of tourRod Stewart’s fans have been left touched by a tribute he posted on his social media account dedicated to his wife Penny Lancaster.
With Valentine’s Day later this month and a swing album and tour alongside Jools Holland on the way, Stewart revealed one of the songs had a touching meaning behind it to do with his other half.
Posting on his Instagram account, Stewart, 79, geared up for a song as he remarked: “Next up is a very well-known one, Pennies from Heaven. Here we go, Pennies from Heaven… because she is!”
He captioned the clip: “Valentine’s Day is just around the corner…and it’s raining Pennies from Heaven.”
Lancaster, 52, replied in the comments with a love heart emoji to her other half.
Fans were also quick to leave their remarks over the sweet gesture. One penned: “Very good !!!! Many many happy returns of the day… Health, peace and joy in your soul!”
“Beautiful Rod but I still prefer your old stuff,” another critiqued, while a third commented: “Great Valentine’s gift. Thank you Sir Rod.”

Beaming over the famous couple, who have been married since 2007, another wrote: “Aww Roddy you and @penny.lancaster are the sweetest! Thank you Penny for inspiring some beautiful love songs like this and Precious Memories.”
“You are awesome,” a different fan posted along with a heart emoji, moved by the romantic message.
A sixth added: “Love you guys together so much. Music is [thumbs up emoji] love Pennies from Heaven. Keep Swinging Guys love you”. (sic)
The couple continue to share their relationship with the public, and Lancaster herself recently revealed a health update during a television interview, pointing out her husband has been on hand to offer any support he can.

“I actually had a scan yesterday but I tore my meniscus back in September and then just when I thought I was getting better, I was out on tour with my husband in Brazil and I decided to go to a jiu-jitsu class like you do for extra training for my police work, extra defence.
“But I overdid it and made it way worse,” Lancaster told the Loose Women panel last month. She added: “So I’ve been off of foot patrol in the city…”
Discussing how she was forced to step away from her work as a special police constable in order to recover, she reflected on how rocker Stewart has helped her through it, understanding her passion.
“He’s seen the dedication I have with the force and what it gives me back, as well as what I can give them,” she commented.
